I always make:
Sausage Balls http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,,FOOD_9936_31593,00.html
They are super easy and good either hot or room temp.
I love those cookies shaped like trees with the green icing, or snowmen with white icing.. etc.
cheeseballs, cheese blintzes, smoked salmon with cream cheese on cucumber slices, mini tacos, pigs in a blanket, lil smokies
7 Layer Bean Dip is always a hit. Easy and good.
Deviled eggs ,
Cream puffs filled with chicken salad or sweet whipped cream/custard. Always a show stopper!
Little smokies wrapped in bacon, baked and served warm or room temp. Serve with various sauces.
Marinated asparagas. Serve room temp.
Hope these help!
Something which is really different is shot glasses of cold tomato juice with a dash of sauce like tobasco or whatever you like. It’s meant to be like a soup and you serve it chilled. Sushi, like California rolls cut into slices with soy sauce for dipping went down really well at a recent party I threw. It’s also appreciated by people who are watching what they eat.
Why dont you try serving christmas cookies or even better crab cakes
Beer Bread!!
Break the loaf into bite-size pieces..put into a Christmas bowl and having out on a table for guests when they arrive!
Make some spinach dip to go with…very delicious!
INGREDIENTS
2 1/2 cups self-rising flour
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1 (12 fluid ounce) can beer
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9×5 inch baking pan.
In a bowl, mix the self-rising flour, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. Pour in the beer, and mix just until moistened. Transfer to the prepared baking pan. Top with the melted butter.
Bake 45 to 55 minutes in the preheated oven, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.
