The little ones like jello jigglers. Make them with fruit juice for a healthier option for the kids.

Fresh fruit, cheese cubes, mini sandwiches, chicken nuggets are also options.

Happy Birthday to the little one! Enjoy!

the best to me are chicken nuggets and if she haven’t grown teeth yet have her eat french fries and for dessert is soft ice cream.

Cheerios (classic), Cut up Bananas with brown sugar, Cut up apples, basically any fruit, also make the frosting on the cupcakes a crazy color and make them chocolate.

Jello Jigglers … chicken nuggets … mini pigs in blanket … quesadillas cut into wedges … veggies & Ranch dip … fruit platter … cubes of cheese with a thin pretzel stick stuck in top … Kiddy Trail Mix (teddy grahams, goldfish pretzels, golden raisins or Craisins) served with little Dixie cups … PB&J sandwiches cut with a cookie cutter. These are all things that my grandkids (4-1/2, 2-1/2 and 1) like …. serve lemonade, because it doesn’t stain:)

Jell-o works good for baby parties.

For my son’s first birthday, we gave him a cupcake with one candle on it. It was the first cake he had ever eaten – he didn’t quite know what to do with it. He touched it with his finger, saw it got on his finger so he held his hands back and tried to take a bite with his mouth so he wouldn’t get his fingers dirty. He’s now a 1st Sergeant about to be a Sergeant Major who loves to go in “the field” and sleep in fox holes.

Are you asking about finger foods for 1-yr olds or for the adults and older kids at the party?
For 1-yr olds: Cheerios, cut-up soft fruit (like bananas), small cupcakes

For the rest: sandwiches with various fillings, cut into “fingers” or into small triangles, cocktail wieners, chips and dip, a veggie/fruit/or deli meat and cheese platter, crackers with any kind of cheese spread, nuts, cheese sticks, pizza rolls or mini egg rolls…etc. The freezer section of your grocery has a lot of great snacks that only need heating up.and you can dress them up a little by serving them with a nice dipping sauce. Happy 1st birthday to your little girl! :)

Pizza Chicken nuggets Casserole

Ingredients:
1 package (13-1/2 oz. size) frozen chicken nuggets
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 can spaghetti sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Directions:

Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Top with spaghetti sauce, mozzarella cheese and Italian seasoning. Cover and bake at 350F for 30-35 minutes or until chicken is heated through and cheese is melted. My kids just love this recipe.

This recipe from CDKitchen for Chicken Nugget Casserole serves/makes 6

check out one of those parents magazines. I think its called Parents or Family fun…i just got a couple and it had a ton of kid friendly finger food. i already got a couple ideas from that. Like taking tiny tiny pots for plants. Putting a little dixie cup of ranch inside and then having the carrots stick out of the top like they are in a garden. looked super cute and yummy!
