I am in charge of planning the homecoming dance for the school I work at. We usually have around 750-800 kids come. We need some ideas for finger foods. Heres the problem...last year we had mozzerella sticks, poppers, taquitos....but they all got too soggy. So we need new ideas for hot finger foods that are cheap.
We're preparing all of the food for our wedding reception, time is slipping away fast and I was wondering if I could stuff the finger sandwiches 2 days in advance and keep them tightly covered and refrigerated. Thank you.

Does anyone have any favorite or memorable foods you may have had at a bridal shower? Im thinking finger foods or little tea sandwiches. Budget is only $200 and its for about 25-30 people.
Thank you!
I am getting married in June 2009 on the beach in FL. Our reception is going to be held at a boat club by the water and our colors are brown and pink. We are trying to find food that we can make ourselves and serve. We have had a friend offer to do bar-b-que but were also thinking of doing a chocolate theme or finger foods. Any suggestions?
To clarify, I didn't mean having pink and brown food necessarily, that would look odd. I was thinking more along the lines of if we have barbeque, what kind of finger foods would go well with that?
Thank you everyone for your wonderful suggestions. We were thinking of pulled pork barbeque with mini buns or something like that. We want things to be easy. We cannot afford to have it catered so it will definately be a family affair as far as that goes.
To answer Brittany, our date is Friday evening June 12th.
i'm going to a water park with some of my family on saturday. instead of eating our big meal there, we were going to just bring a cooler with food and eat out in the car, just to try and save some money.
problem is, i want something besides the original sandwich and chips. maybe some fun cream cheese roll ups or or anything. (except i don't know how to make them) even a different good chips and salsa. all i want is something that is easy to make and something that doesn't require tons of different or expensive ingredients.
thanks so much!
something a bit different thn normal cakes or biscits.
i take food technology at school and need recipes, im not actually making food for a proper party.
